Sandstone Silver is a multifaceted musician, songwriter, and performer from Merseyside whose work defies labels, blending synth, soul, rock, and 80s-2000s influences into an electrifying sound. From a young age, music has been a constant force in his life, providing a means of connection and colour to memories that have shaped his world. However, growing up with undiagnosed ADHD, Sandstone Silver faced challenges in learning instruments, which initially seemed like insurmountable barriers to his musical dreams.

It wasn’t until he served the armed forces and left that he developed the confidence to become a frontman in a band, leading them to victory in the “Battle of the Bands” competition twice. After the band disbanded when he moved to Liverpool, Sandstone Silver took his songwriting to new heights, writing and recording demos on blank CDs and immersing himself in self taught music theory. His love for storytelling led him to eventually explore poetry and scriptwriting, while his unrelenting passion for music kept him pushing forward despite setbacks.

With a deep-seated desire to create something unique, Sandstone Silver’s sound evolved into a captivating blend of groovy, energetic, experimental soul, rock, pop with a theatrical flair. Drawing from a diverse range of influences including Bruno Marrs, Destiny’s Child, Prince, David Bowie, Prodigy, Nivarna, Chilli Peppers, Talking Heads, Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx,  Adele, Lizzo, and Calvin Harris, his music fuses nostalgic beats with a modern, commercial edge, creating a distinctive atmosphere that is both fresh and timeless. His performances are fueled by an unmistakable zest for life, despite the ageism and societal pressures he faces as a “late bloomer.”

Sandstone Silver’s determination to break free from the limitations of his past led him to win a National Neurodiverse Songwriting Competition, and recently been selected to perform for the Primal Live using an original track that pays tribute to the White Chapel charity based in Liverpool. Known in his community as musical passionate postman his love for music and people shines through everything he does.

A lifelong learner, Sandstone Silver is now committed to releasing his music to the world, ready to share the EP he’s created — a product of years of self-discovery and artistic growth. With his unique ability to blend storytelling, sci-fi adventure, and raw emotion, his music is meant to entertain and inspire, creating spaces for those who have ever felt like outsiders.
